Challenge:
Essential Utilities Corporation (EUC) is in the process of targeting its product line to their customers. To achieve this, the company needed to move its current system to the next level of web based application by removing the manual process, eliminating false data entry, increase the response time and the ability to producing complex analytical reports.
Also, they are also facing their legacy system (Tendering Application for Electricty Market) which is no longer expandable as per business grow and this lead to work under limitation of the software.
Third challange is that EUC needs to have a centralise corporate information that people from other branches accross countries can access securely, easily and up to date.
Last challange is that EUC needs to concentrate their own core business and it requires expertise to look after their IT infrastructure as well as support (desktop/laptops, application and file servers, applications, routers, VPN, mail and database maintenances).
Solution:
The first two challanges, we've developing a highly customised web application based on Microsoft .NET 2.0 with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 as back end database. The web application is still evolved rapidly and maintained continuosly as per customer's requirements.
For tackling the centralise information challange, we have implemented Microsoft Sharepoint Services for their intranet application therefore people can easily collaborate for particular document/content.
We help and manage their IT Infrastructure and respond quickly if there is an issue and become a point of contact for all IT manners.
